‘The inference is that the answer existed all along, that which was sought was in hand, but that the extraneous or unnecessary needed to be removed in order for it to be “revealed.’ That comment transcends time clearly as it is a perfect description of man today. (I know - it all does) It’s also eyeopening to me that the lack of hearing and seeing truth is consequences of our own actions, behaviors and attitudes.

I never look at the source words/explanations you’ve addressed without thinking the ‘upgrade’ the source brings from then on and it’s wonderful. I can’t ever remember that the word mystery wasn’t associated with withheld or hidden previously. It is much more consistent with the rest of His word that it is gradually revealed in His time to His people until the end.

Thank you, thank you for using your gifts to further our understanding! Yes, continue the series because the more we truly understand His word, the more actually is being revealed to us. Blessings!!🙏🙏

I appreciate your encouragement! I have plotted about 7 to 10 days of primary study to do the series justice; which in real time means two to three times that on the calendar. I agree though - these "revealed doctrines of His kingdom" are interesting all on their own. Add the fact that they were called out as such (when clearly there are others that are never tagged as "mysteries") suggests the idea of the meat versus the milk that the writer of the letter to the Hebrews mentioned. I have been putting this off for a few years...must be a reason that I felt nudged to do the "What if..." version!

All His best!!! And thanks for your patience and grace!

I used to have a Greek lexicon, but lost it somewhere in all our moves. Your work has motivated me and I ordered a Hebrew Greek one today. I won’t be able to study like you have, but it might help me ask the right questions. I told my Sunday school teacher tonight so he knows I’ll even have more questions…🙏. Have pity on him!

I use Vines Complete Old and New Testament Dictionary and the back of Strong's Concordance. I own a couple of others if I need to dig deep into something...and do not see yourself short!

I will be praying for him LOL!

It’s seems to me it’s become a common phrase “The mysteries of the Bible…” I can’t say that I haven’t gotten caught up in the mindset that the Bible is “so mysterious” in the past. But reading the Word in and with the Spirit has opened my eyes to see God’s plan, not only big picture but who I am to Him in His plan, my ears to hear His voice speak to me, in whatever form that ends up being, and my heart to understand His love and desire. I have a lot of “mysteries” to uncover and I’m thankful for the opportunity and time to search out the matter!

And that is key - as big of a key as almost everything else - valuing His Word and the Spirit enough to dedicate some of our own time (our most precious commodity) so that He can lead us into Truth!
